HOUSTON ALUMNAE PANHELLENIC FOUNDATION (HAPF)

The Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Foundation (HAPF) was founded in 1987 in memory of Anna K. Chase, Delta Zeta. Mrs. Chase was the first President of the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association (HAPA).

HAPF is supported by the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association and its member sororities. The non-profit Foundation is HAPA's philanthropic arm, organized for charitable and educational purposes, specifically, the provision of scholarship aid to deserving college and university students.

The Foundation raises much-needed funds for scholarships through its annual Spring Luncheon, and annual Wine Tasting Event held each Fall, and through donations from individuals and companies.

Since its inception, the HAPF Scholarship Fund has awarded 366 scholarships, totaling $484,800.00, to women enrolled in accredited colleges and universities across the country. These collegians are residents of Harris County. Often this financial aid makes the difference for many young women, enabling them to continue their college education.

The Foundation also accepts donations throughout the year from individuals, sorority alumnae groups, and local companies. The Foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity.

HAPF is a Texas nonprofit corporation which is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3).

Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

HAPF MISSION STATEMENT

The Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Foundation is committed to helping Fraternity women in financial need for the purpose of continuing their education. These women must meet the established guidelines of the Foundation. The funds for scholarships and other financial assistance are generated from fundraising events, grants, donations, and bequests.
