HOUSTON ALUMNAE PANHELLENIC FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON

A number of Houston area young women will receive scholarships at a presentation which will be the highlight of the Annual Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Foundation Scholarship Luncheon Thursday, May 1, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Last year a record $41,000 in scholarships was awarded to twenty young Harris County Greek women who are attending Texas universities. The 22nd Annual Luncheon will honor the 2008 collegiate scholarship winners and the HAPA Emeritus Board Members and  the program will feature a fashion show by the Carlisle Collection. The luncheon will be at the Junior League of Houston, 1811 Briar Oaks.

Tickets can be purchased by writing the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association at the address listed below. The ticket price is $50 and includes lunch, the style show, and a tax-deductible contribution to the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Foundation.

Door prize tickets are also available for $1 each; 100% of the money raised through the sale of door prize tickets provides direct scholarship aid. As much as $40,000 has been raised by selling these door prize tickets. Prizes included weekend getaways, dinners, crystal, gift certificates to local stores, and much more.

The Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Foundation Scholarship Luncheon will pay tribute to Pamela Jarrett, President-Elect as she accepts the gavel as the new HAPA President; the Foundation officers and trustees are also announced during a short presentation. The event will truly be a day for celebration and sisterhood for Houston Greek women.
