Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association

Anna RisedenHAPA President's Letter

Dear Collegiate-Bound High School Senior,

The Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association (HAPA) would like the               opportunity to help you learn about an educational and enjoyable experience -   Sorority Life.  Sororities emphasize scholarship, promote leadership, practice   good citizenship, encourage loyalty, and show concern for others.  We invite each of you to consider the possibility for membership.

Most of the 26 National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities are represented in the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association.  By working together, local sorority women promote philanthropy and sorority ideals and continue lasting friendships made in college.

Each year Sororities increase their memberships through a mutual selection process called "Recruitment" or "Membership Recruitment".  To participate in this process you must register with the Panhellenic office at the college or university you plan to attend.  Recruitment information is often sent with other college registration materials.  If you do not receive this information, write or call your college Panhellenic office.

The Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association would like to give you information about possible sorority membership.  By attending Recruitment Roundtable and completing the Recruitment Information Form, Houston Panhellenic will be able to introduce you to as many groups as possible.

Recruitment Roundtable will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011.  Please plan to attend ONE of the two sessions to be held at 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 3471 Westheimer at Edloe in Houston.  The morning session usually has the largest attendance.  Both sessions will have plenty of materials on hand for everyone to receive.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Anna Riseden, President 2010-2011
Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association
