The "Recruitment Information Guide" will give you helpful information regarding recruitment.  It is presented as an E-book (electronic book) and can be flipped through, bookmarked, and emailed, for your convenience.

ONLINE REGISTRATION:

By registering with Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association (HAPA) of your intent to participate in sorority recruitment, you consent to the information you provide to HAPA being shared internally with HAPA committees, members, and related parties.  None of the information collected by HAPA will be sold or intentionally shared or given to unrelated third parties.

MAILING RECRUITMENT PACKAGES:

Recruitment packages cannot be taken or mailed to HAPA (HAPA no longer has a mailing address).  Recruitment packages should only be mailed, delivered, or emailed to the women writing letters of recommendation and support (be sure to follow each sorority's requested way of receiving information).  Letters of support writers generally send their letters to the recruitment information form (RIF/REC) writer so that she can compile the entire packet (there are exceptions - check with the committee members listed below).

ASKING FOR LETTERS OF SUPPORT/REFERENCE LETTERS:

The Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association (HAPA) strongly encourages Potential New Members (girls going through recruitment at their chosen university) to adhere to the May 1 deadline for submission of recommendations and letters of support to all universities nationwide, regardless of their recruitment dates and/or posted recruitment deadlines.

This May 1 deadline is to help PNMs going through recruitment at universities nationwide to maximize their options with early exposure to collegiate chapters.  It is also out of respect for the time spent by the alumnae women of HAPA who work tirelessly on behalf of thousands of PNMs.

Ask your mother’s friends, school teachers/staff, church/place of worship friends, neighbors, those you work/baby sit for, and friends who are older and already in sororities…these are all great resources.  Remember, a personal recommendation is always best!  If your residence is not in Harris County you should contact the alumnae panhellenic where you live.

The alumnae panhellenic organizations for the Houston-area and the surrounding counties are listed on the web site under the "ABOUT / Area Panhellenics" menu.  (Their web site addresses are listed.)  There are seven (7) Houston-area alumnae panhellenics.  They cover Clear Lake, Fort Bend, Katy, Kingwood, Montgomery County, and NW Harris County, in addition to HAPA.
