HAPA President's LetterDear College-Bound Senior, Welcome to Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association's opportunity to learn about an educational and enjoyable experience - Sorority life. Sororities emphasize scholarship, promote leadership, practice good citizenship, encourage loyalty and show concern for others. We invite each of you to consider the possibility for membership. Many of the 26 National Panhellenic Conference sororities are represented in the Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association. By working together, local sorority women promote philanthropy, sorority ideals and continue lasting friendships made in college. Each year Sororities increase their memberships through a mutual selection process called "Rush"/Membership Recruitment. To participate in this process you must register with the Panhellenic Office at the College you plan to attend. Rush information is often sent with other college registration materials. If you do not receive this information, write or call your College Panhellenic office. The Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Association would like to give you information about possible sorority membership. By attending Rush Sign-Up/Membership Recruitment and completing the Rush Information form, Houston Panhellenic will be able to introduce you to as many groups as possible. Rush Roundtable is Saturday, February 23, 2008. Please plan to attend one of the two sessions to be held at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. at St. Luke's Methodist Church, 3471 Westheimer at Edloe. Looking forward to seeing you there! Sincerely,
Linda Porter |
